It would seem the Alvechurch Highway is now continually closed to vehicles since the excess tipping that has been carried out at the Marlbrook Tip. The excess tipping has led to more and more water running down onto the highway as the reservoir cannot cope with the extra water.

The road is severely damaged and continually being repaired. I have asked the County Council to take whatever action is required to stop this and ensure the road remains open.

The continual flooding of the highway is the result of the amount of excess tipping that has taken place and it will only be a matter of time before there is a major slippage. Both the Environment services and the District Council seem to be condoning what has  happened and still happening by a lack of decisive action
